Lee Jae-myung Shows 'Dislike' Across All Regions
A poll revealed that 4 out of 10 citizens responded that they would 'absolutely not vote' for Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, in the next presidential election. On the 9th, the polling specialist agency Yeoronjo-Gongjeong Co., Ltd., commissioned by Dailyan, surveyed 1,003 male and female voters nationwide over two days from the 6th to the 7th, asking "Which candidate would you absolutely not want to vote for in the next presidential election?" The response naming Lee Jae-myung was the highest at 42.1%. Following him, Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo recorded the second highest response rate at 16.8%. Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon came third with 9.9%, and former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon was fourth with 9.2%.

Other responses included ▲former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong at 6.5%, ▲former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon at 4.9%, ▲National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik at 1.9%, and ▲Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon at 0.5%. The responses "None" and "Others/Don't know" were recorded at 3.7% and 4.5%, respectively. By party support, 81.9% of People Power Party supporters responded that Lee Jae-myung was the "candidate they do not want to vote for in the presidential election."

Among People Power Party supporters, 3.3% said they would not vote for former leader Han Dong-hoon, and 3.1% chose Mayor Hong Joon-pyo. Among Democratic Party supporters, the highest response at 28.4% was "I do not want to vote for Mayor Hong Joon-pyo." Those who chose Mayor Oh Se-hoon among Democratic Party supporters were 18.8%, and 14.5% answered former leader Han Dong-hoon. Among Reform New Party supporters, 38.4% responded that they would not vote for Lee Jae-myung. Among Revolutionary Innovation Party supporters, 18.7% said they would not vote for former leader Han Dong-hoon, the highest response. Regionally, in all areas, the response "I do not want to vote for Lee Jae-myung" was the most common.
In Daegu and Gyeongbuk, 48.6% responded that they would not vote for Lee, the highest rate, followed by ▲Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam and Chungbuk (46.7%), ▲Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (46.4%), ▲Gangwon and Jeju (44.8%), ▲Seoul (44.3%), ▲Incheon and Gyeonggi (37.2%), and ▲Gwangju and Jeonnam and Jeonbuk (34.7%). Seo Yo-han, CEO of Yeoronjo-Gongjeong Co., Ltd., analyzed, "The reason Lee Jae-myung shows both high support and high unfavorable ratings among presidential candidates is largely due to judicial risks." This survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire via 100% wireless RDD ARS method. The response rate was 4.1%, and the sampling error was ±3.1% at a 95% confidence level.
