Dong-Eui Science University Hair & Beauty Department Holds LINC3.0 Project Performance Expansion Workshop

The Department of Hair Beauty at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Young-do) held the ‘2024 LINC 3.0 Hair Beauty Department Performance Expansion Workshop’ on December 23.

This event shared various best practices for successful project execution and performance expansion, including ▲operation of employment contract-type customized curriculum ▲operation of extracurricular courses ▲expansion of exchanges with excellent family companies ▲operation of the standard field training semester system. Certificates of commendation were awarded to outstanding students who participated in the employment contract-type customized curriculum from Park Seung-chul Hair Studio, Lee Chul Hair Kerker, and Pelia Hair.


Additionally, award ceremonies for various beauty contests involving Hair Beauty students were held. Awardees included Kim Ye-rang, who won the Grand Prix at the International Beauty Master Contest, along with 16 others; Kang San-deul, who received the Busan Mayor’s Award at the 12th Private Skills Competition; Moon Hye-jung, who received the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office Chief’s Award; Lee Ga-young and 10 others, who received the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation Busan Regional Headquarters Chief’s Award; and Lim Dae-gyu and 2 others, who won the Grand Prize at the Busan Mayor’s Cup University Capstone Beauty Competition, demonstrating the students’ practical skills externally.


This workshop focused on providing an opportunity to effectively disseminate and expand the program’s achievements, strengthening the sharing of diverse experiences and knowledge and cooperation among participants to spread LINC 3.0’s outcomes in various environments.


Kim Tae-young, head of the Hair Beauty Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, “Last year’s various achievements are the result of all members participating in the project working hard together over the past year. We expect it will greatly help Hair Beauty students gain recognition in the industry and build successful careers.”


Student Song Ju-ryeong from the Hair Beauty Department said, “This workshop allowed me to directly feel the program’s achievements and made me determined to contribute to future education and industry-academia cooperation. It was a valuable opportunity to share diverse experiences and collaborate together.”


The Hair Beauty Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is conducting various government-funded projects to nurture local talent in the era of regional population decline through the University Innovation Support Project, LINC 3.0 Project, Local Specialized College Revitalization Project, National Technical Qualification Project for Beautician (General) Course Evaluation, High-Skilled Work-Study Parallel System (P-Tech) Project, and Work-Study Parallel System Project for enrolled students.
