ToBeSoft Accelerates Entry into Japanese Market with AI-Based Memorial Service 'SoulLink'

AI-based UI/UX specialist company ToBeSoft and AI content production specialist company JLStandard (CEO Namwoong Cho) announced on the 9th that they have jointly launched the AI memorial service 'SoulLink' and are targeting the funeral market in Japan, which has entered the world's most aged society.

Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to redefine the existing memorial culture based on innovative AI technology and secure momentum to lead new trends in the global market.

SoulLink is a personalized service that recreates the deceased's voice, video, and memories using AI for memorial purposes, and is currently co-developing a new service with a Japanese listed company operating the largest crematorium in Japan.

Through this, they plan to establish a foothold in the ending service market in Japan, the world's largest aging country, where demand is rapidly increasing and the market size is about 2 trillion yen.

ToBeSoft intends to maximize sales synergy in Japan by diversifying sales based on its UI/UX business, which is already growing steadily in the Japanese market, by introducing various partnership products such as AI-based funeral welfare products and Shukatsu (人生 marumari) services through this collaboration.

Earlier, ToBeSoft made a 25.96% equity investment in JLStandard, laying the foundation for global market entry of the new AI memorial service business.

A company official stated, "This collaboration will be a turning point to prove the competitiveness of Korean technology in the global AI memorial market starting with Japan and to present an innovative funeral culture suitable for an aging society."
