Dalha Art Museum in Jeongeup, North Jeolla Province, is holding an open call for artists to participate in the "Local Artists Spotlight Exhibition" to support the creative and exhibition opportunities of local artists.

Applications can be submitted in person at Jeongeup City Museum or by email from the 13th to the 15th. Selected artists will be provided with exhibition space, promotional support, and participation fees.
Eligible applicants are artists residing in North Jeolla Province, with additional points given to those who are from Jeongeup, currently reside in Jeongeup, or are young artists. The fields of application include a wide range of visual arts such as painting, sculpture, crafts, printmaking, drawing, photography, and calligraphy. Exhibitions for commercial purposes are excluded.
The four artists selected through the open call will each hold an exhibition for about 50 days, in four separate sessions, from the 25th of next month until December 11.
This year’s newly revamped "Local Artists Spotlight Exhibition" departs from the previous format, where multiple artists exhibited in different locations, and instead will feature a single artist’s diverse works simultaneously in three venues. This approach aims to more effectively convey the artist’s originality and artistic world.
Dalha Art Museum, operated by Jeongeup City Art Museum, is a cultural space that has provided opportunities for artistic activities in Sintaein, Yeonji, and Suseong areas, helping to address cultural welfare blind spots.
An official from Jeongeup City Art Museum stated, "We expect this exhibition to inspire local artists’ creativity and provide residents with opportunities to experience art up close."
