Yangsan-si Expands Incentives to Attract Group Tourists in 2025

Expansion of Support Amounts, Introduction of Bus Rental Fees and School Trip Group Support

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam Province will provide incentives to travel agencies that attract group tourists in 2025 to boost tourism and revitalize the local economy.

Recently, to support the travel industry facing double difficulties due to the economic downturn and high exchange rates, the city increased the per-person support amount compared to the previous year and introduced new support items for bus rentals and school trip groups.

For day tours, groups of 10 or more domestic tourists or 5 or more foreign tourists who visit two tourist attractions and use one local restaurant can receive 10,000 KRW per person.

For overnight stays, tourists must use local accommodations. Groups of 10 or more domestic tourists, 5 or more foreign tourists, or school trip groups of 30 or more are eligible for 20,000 KRW per person per night (10,000 KRW for school trip groups), and 30,000 KRW per person for two or more nights (15,000 KRW for school trip groups). For one night, visitors must visit two tourist attractions and two local restaurants; for two or more nights, two tourist attractions and three local restaurants must be visited.

If tourists use train stations (Mulgum Station, Wondong Station, Ulsan Station) and rent a local charter bus for 20 or more people, a support of 300,000 KRW per bus will be provided. Additionally, local travel agencies will receive an extra 20% added to the final incentive as additional support.

Applicants must notify the city of their schedule and plan at least seven days before the visit and submit supporting documents and the application form within 15 days after the trip ends. For more details, please refer to the announcement on the Yangsan City website or contact the Yangsan City Tourism Division.
