KB Life Expands Digital Services for Insurance Claims

On the 9th, KB Life announced that it has expanded its digital insurance claim services by increasing the coverage range of claim guarantees and the claim amount limits.

Through this service expansion, the digital insurance claim services, which were previously limited to certain coverages such as hospitalization, surgery, and outpatient treatment, have been extended to all coverages including death and accidents. The claim limit for death coverage using digital channels has been raised to 100 million KRW.

When filing death or accident insurance claims, if customers lack the necessary documents, the system has been improved to allow customers to supplement them remotely, thereby shortening the insurance claim processing time. Going forward, the insurance claim processing period will be reduced from the current average of 0.5 days to 0.3 days by 2027, helping customers receive their insurance payments quickly and conveniently.

KB Life plans to establish a one-stop insurance claim payment system by introducing artificial intelligence (AI)-based optical character recognition (OCR) technology. Through this, it aims to innovatively improve customer experience using digital channels and enhance customer convenience to a higher level.

A KB Life representative stated, “We are very pleased to provide digital services that allow customers to apply for insurance claims more easily and conveniently,” and added, “Going forward, KB Life will strengthen its market competitiveness with innovative, customer-centered products and services to become a trusted life insurance company for our customers.”
