"Contributing to the Creation of a Sustainable Educational Environment"
Hanwha Group announced on the 9th that it has finalized the selection of schools to support for its social contribution activity, 'Creating Clean Schools,' which aims to establish eco-friendly educational spaces.
'Creating Clean Schools' is an initiative that supports customized fine dust reduction facilities to improve indoor air quality in elementary schools, creating a healthy and safe educational environment for children.

The schools selected this time are ▲Yanghwa Elementary School in Seoul ▲Seokjeong Elementary School in Incheon ▲Jinjam Elementary School in Daejeon ▲Shinheung Elementary School in Daegu ▲Geumdang Elementary School in Gwangju ▲Yongnam Elementary School in Tongyeong, totaling six schools. The evaluation was conducted by a professional advisory group composed of environmental engineering professors and current vice principals, based on criteria such as the surrounding environment of the schools, the schools' interest level, and on-site inspections.
As a result, Hanwha will provide eco-friendly educational spaces to 21 elementary schools nationwide, 633 classes, and approximately 15,000 students over four years.
Starting with this year's project, Hanwha added the creation of eco-friendly rest areas to increase the diversity of support and the satisfaction of participating schools. This was planned in response to the situation where children have no indoor space to rest outside the classroom due to fine dust occurring throughout the year. The selected schools will complete construction during the winter vacation and welcome students with a renewed environment from the new semester.
Eco-friendly educational programs addressing fine dust and climate crisis issues will also be provided to the supported schools. These programs aim to help students realize the importance of a sustainable future and develop environmental sensitivity.
A Hanwha representative said, "'Creating Clean Schools' holds significance beyond establishing eco-friendly educational spaces, and the newly added eco-friendly rest areas this year will be a turning point. We will continue to improve the quality of school life and contribute to creating sustainable educational environments."
