First Investment Company in Busan City’s Exclusive Corporate Attraction Zone
Rino Industry will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new factory at 11 a.m. on the 9th in Eco Delta City, Myeongji-dong, Gangseo-gu, Busan. It will be the first investment attraction company in the 'Exclusive Corporate Attraction Zone' project promoted by Busan City.
About 100 people, including Lee Jun-seung, Deputy Mayor of Busan, Lee Chae-yoon, CEO of Rino Industry, and executives and employees, will attend the event. The groundbreaking ceremony will proceed in the order of the opening ceremony, congratulatory speeches, commemorative speeches, and groundbreaking ceremony.
Founded in 1978, Rino Industry is a company that manufactures semiconductor inspection products. Its self-developed 'Rinopin' holds a dominant market share in the global semiconductor market. Since being listed on KOSDAQ in 2001, it has grown into a global semiconductor parts manufacturer with a current market capitalization exceeding 3 trillion won.
Rino Industry expanded and relocated to Eco Delta City with active support from Busan City. Busan City proposed the 'Busan City Exclusive Corporate Attraction Zone' within Eco Delta City and worked with the central government to ease regulations to secure the relocation site for Rino Industry. Thanks to these efforts, Rino Industry was able to maintain its headquarters in Busan, avoiding relocation to other regions.
The new Rino Industry factory to be built in Eco Delta City will involve an investment of 200 billion won and will be constructed on a site of 72,519㎡ (approximately 21,937 pyeong), twice the size of the existing factory, with a total floor area of 69,525㎡ (approximately 21,000 pyeong). The factory is scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2026 and plans to create about 200 new jobs. Through this, Rino Industry aims to maximize business efficiency and establish an advanced semiconductor production line.
Lee Chae-yoon, CEO of Rino Industry, said, "Thanks to the active support of Busan City, we are breaking ground in Busan without relocating to the metropolitan area. The new semiconductor factory will be an important base to strengthen the competitiveness of Busan's semiconductor industry."
Lee Jun-seung, Deputy Mayor of Busan, emphasized, "We will promptly complete this investment to play a significant role in revitalizing the semiconductor industry in the Busan area, and we will spare no administrative support to ensure that companies like Rino Industry, which were founded locally, reinvest and grow in the region."
