Child actress Kim Ji-young, who gained recognition through the drama "Come! Jang Bo-ri," officially apologized two years after the controversy surrounding her "ex-boyfriend debt dispute." She said, "I took time to reflect on myself and to repent," and added, "I apologize for causing concern due to my immaturity."

Earlier, in January 2023, rapper A-Chill, Kim Ji-young's ex-boyfriend, revealed that Kim Ji-young borrowed money during their relationship and then disappeared, sparking controversy. A-Chill claimed, "My mother and father took out loans to help Ji-young rent her own place. Of course, my parents also paid the monthly rent," and added, "One day, she disappeared, left the house, and told me not to contact her because she was dating another man. She confidently said she would pay back all the money-related issues, but I never received a single call."

Touch the Sky (Lee Sang-jae), who appeared on Mnet's hip-hop survival program "High School Rapper 4," also revealed that he suffered the same damage, intensifying the "debt dispute" controversy. He even commented on Kim Ji-young's social media, saying, "Did you go to the sea with my money? Pay me back." At the time, Kim Ji-young stated, "I am preparing to respond while consulting legally with my parents."

On the 8th, Kim Ji-young spoke out for the first time in two years since the controversy. She posted a lengthy message on her SNS starting with, "I am writing to share news and updates related to my personal matters that occurred in January 2023." She said, "After consulting with my parents, I sincerely proceeded with legal procedures," and added, "However, since I was a minor at the time, I learned through my attorney that the exact judgment and disposition results cannot be confirmed. Please understand that due to these legal reasons, I cannot disclose detailed information and results."

"Deeply reflecting on the disappointment caused by immature judgment and actions"... reaffirming her commitment to acting

She continued, "Regardless of the outcome, I sincerely apologize to those who felt disappointed and uncomfortable because of me. I reflect on causing concern due to my immaturity and want to bow my head once again to express my apologies." She added, "I took time to look back on myself, to reflect, and to repent. I debuted as an actor at a young age and was thankfully given the opportunity to participate in many excellent works, receiving overwhelming love and attention. I have always been grateful for all of this." However, she also said, "It is true that I went through a difficult time wandering a lot due to the burden, personal difficulties, and anxiety accumulated from starting my acting career at a young age," and "I deeply reflect on causing disappointment due to immature judgment and actions."

She also reaffirmed her commitment to acting. Kim Ji-young said, "Although I went through a difficult time being involved in an unpleasant incident, this experience made me realize once again how much I love acting and how hard I have worked to show good performances," and promised, "Even if it takes time, I promise to come back with a more mature and sincere self. Now that I have reached adulthood this year, I will grow into a more responsible actor."

Born in 2005, Kim Ji-young gained recognition by playing the role of Jang Bi-dan in the 2014 MBC drama "Come! Jang Bo-ri." She has also appeared in various works such as "Doctor Stranger," "Temptation," "Punch," "My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol," and "Love in the Moonlight."
