Seocho District Council Practices Sharing Culture Through Red Cross Special Membership Fees

The Seocho District Council (Chairperson Go Seonjae) participated in promoting a culture of sharing by delivering the '2025 Red Cross Special Membership Fee' on the 8th.

The delivery ceremony held in the council chairperson's office was attended by Chairperson Go Seonjae, Vice Chairperson Lee Hyunsuk, Chairperson of the Administrative Welfare Committee Oh Jihwan, Kim Hyungseop, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan City Southern Volunteer Center, and Jung Mihyang, President of the Seocho District Council.

In particular, this year, to encourage the spread of donation culture and the collection of Red Cross membership fees amid difficult economic conditions, the amount was increased by 300,000 won from previous years to a total of 1,000,000 won.

Before the delivery ceremony, Chairperson Go expressed gratitude for the dedication of Red Cross members, saying, "I am always thankful for the devotion of Red Cross members," and added, "We will join in spreading a culture of sharing so that hope and warmth can reach neighbors in need within the community."

The Red Cross Special Membership Fee is a voluntary donation to help neighbors in need and is used for various humanitarian projects such as the Red Cross's disaster emergency relief activities and support for vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots. The Seocho District Council participates annually in practicing a culture of sharing through this special membership fee.
