As its first official task of the new year, Bando Construction held the '2025 Safety and Health Policy and Goal Declaration Ceremony' on the 7th at 15 Bando Yubora apartment construction sites and public construction sites nationwide. A food truck event was also held to encourage on-site workers and conduct joint labor-management inspections.
The event was attended by Bando Construction President Kim Yong-chul, Lee Jeong-ryeol, Head of the Construction Division, executives from the headquarters, employees from 15 sites nationwide, and representatives from partner companies.
Since 2019, Bando Construction has recorded zero major accidents for six consecutive years. At the declaration ceremony, the safety and health management policy was announced as ‘Establishing a safety and health culture through strengthening coexistence, communication, and cooperation,’ and the safety and health goal was set as '7 consecutive years of zero (0) major accidents.'
The detailed implementation plans include △supporting safety and health system education for four partner companies (structure, civil engineering, equipment, interior) △reducing the three major frequent accidents (falls, slips, being struck) through construction management of temporary facilities (retaining walls, props, scaffolding) △reducing work stoppage defect grades (Grade B) by 50% compared to the previous year through construction equipment safety prevention activities △and reducing the number of occupational disease claims by 20% compared to the previous year through prevention-focused program improvements.
Lee Jeong-ryeol, Head of the Construction Division at Bando Construction, said, “This year, through active win-win management with partner companies, we aim to achieve ‘7 consecutive years of zero major accidents’ by changing the safety system in all activities from the planning stage to construction and process management at all sites. We hope that all Bando Construction employees and partner company workers internalize ‘safety habits’ such as securing safety passages and organizing materials regularly so that a safety and health culture can be established.”
