Lee Kwang-hee, CEO of SC First Bank, announced plans to strengthen retail banking centered on asset management services.

On the 6th, Lee made these remarks at the New Year's town hall meeting with employees held at the SC First Bank headquarters in Jongno, Seoul. He emphasized four key directions for future management.

First, he stated that the bank will focus on asset management services to strengthen the retail banking sector. Lee said, "Our parent company, Standard Chartered (SC) Group, is also concentrating on asset management solutions and advisory services centered on high-net-worth clients as part of its new global strategy, which is a valid new strategy in Korea as well. We will target future markets through continuous investment and the establishment of digital infrastructure that aligns with changes and trends in the world."

He also stressed the importance of the sales frontlines. He said, "The greatest source of energy for the bank is the sales frontlines where customers are present. We will support the sales frontlines and support departments to collaborate and focus on customer service."

Meanwhile, Diego Di Giorgi, CFO of SC Group, and former bank president Park Jong-bok, SC Group Senior Advisor, also attended the New Year's town hall to congratulate Lee.

CFO Di Giorgi said, "Korea holds a significant and very important position within the SC Group. I believe that under the leadership of the new bank president, the bank will grow further into a profitable and competitive institution."
