The film "Harbin," which deals with the anguish and conflicts of independence activist Ahn Jung-geun, has paved the way for release in 117 countries. According to distributor CJ ENM on the 8th, screening rights have been sold to the United States, Japan, France, Taiwan, Australia, Spain, and others.
It is already being screened in the United States and Singapore (both released on the 25th of last month), Indonesia (released on the 1st), and Malaysia (released on the 2nd). Releases in Australia and New Zealand are confirmed for the 23rd, and in Taiwan for the 29th. Release schedules in other countries will be confirmed sequentially.
A CJ ENM overseas distribution official said, "Being invited to prestigious international film festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival and receiving recognition for its artistic quality seems to have appealed attractively to overseas buyers."
"Harbin" is a work that highlights the 1909 Harbin assassination carried out by independence activist Ahn Jung-geun. It is directed by Woo Min-ho, known for "Inside Men," and stars Hyun Bin, Park Jung-min, Jo Woo-jin, Jeon Yeo-been, Park Hoon, and Lee Dong-wook.
