Recruiting Experienced Temporary Field Workers for Home Repair to Join 'Chakchak Seongdong Life Civil Complaint Task Force' Until January 14

Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) announced that it will continue to operate the ‘Chakchak Seongdong Living Civil Complaint Mobile Unit’ to improve the housing environment for vulnerable residential groups.


The ‘Chakchak Seongdong Living Civil Complaint Mobile Unit’ is a project that provides on-site home repair services for vulnerable residential groups such as basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income households, people with disabilities, national merit recipients, and emergency support targets. It supports simple home repair services such as installing and repairing window screens, replacing lights, and installing gas timers up to three times a year per household, within a material cost limit of 180,000 KRW per visit.


First launched in 2018 and now in its seventh year, the ‘Chakchak Seongdong Living Civil Complaint Mobile Unit’ has provided a total of 4,028 services to 2,460 households up to last year, resolving a total of 660 daily inconveniences including home repairs for 474 households last year alone.


A satisfaction survey conducted last year with 450 users showed that 396 residents, accounting for 88% of respondents, were satisfied with the overall service, including the friendly on-site service and prompt resolution of inconveniences.

Kim 00 (42), a resident of Yongdap-dong, expressed gratitude, saying, “I was at a loss because I couldn’t fix a broken light by myself, but the community center connected me to the ‘Chakchak Seongdong Living Civil Complaint Mobile Unit,’ and I was able to receive light replacement service.”


The district plans to actively operate the ‘Chakchak Seongdong Living Civil Complaint Mobile Unit’ to meet the demand for home repair services and provide residents with a safe and comfortable living environment.


To ensure smooth operation of the project, the district is recruiting temporary on-site workers to work with the ‘Chakchak Seongdong Living Civil Complaint Mobile Unit’ until the 14th. Any resident who is physically and mentally healthy, has experience in home repair fields such as electrical work and facilities, and holds a driver’s license can apply. Applications can be submitted via email to the person in charge or by visiting the Welfare Policy Division of Seongdong-gu Office.
