User A, who identified herself as the victim in the video, explained the situation, saying, "A police officer immediately called the perpetrator to the precinct, registered the incident, and helped me file a complaint." She added, "I plan to visit the hospital tomorrow" and emphasized, "There will be no leniency." Netizens who saw the video responded with comments such as, "He should be taught the consequences of touching someone else's precious daughter recklessly," "I hope she is not seriously injured," "They say ignorance is courage, but how could someone act like that with so many police around," and "This is truly a random assault."
Meanwhile, on the morning of the 8th, as tensions rose due to the reissuance of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, anti-impeachment groups held overnight rallies near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Those calling for arrest and impeachment also gathered and raised their voices. As of 6 a.m., supporters of President Yoon, centered around the Korea Righting the Nation Movement Headquarters (Daegukbon), led by Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, continued their rally near the residence. Participants equipped with cold-weather gear held red light batons and waved the Taegeukgi (South Korean flag) and the U.S. flag while chanting slogans such as "Protect the Republic of Korea," "Arrest Lee Jae-myung," and "Oppose Impeachment."
The participants claimed that the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC) lacks jurisdiction to investigate treason charges, making the arrest warrant illegal and invalid. People’s Power Party lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun and former Seongnam Urban Development Corporation director Yoo Dong-gyu also attended. On the sidewalk in front of Ilsin Hall in Hannam-dong, dozens of citizens demanding impeachment gathered, waving signs calling for President Yoon’s arrest and shouting slogans like "Arrest Yoon Seok-yeol," urging the PCC to promptly execute the arrest warrant. The police installed fences to prevent contact between the two sides.
