Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) has been selected as a certified institution for educational donation career experience in the second half of 2024.

Accordingly, the district will provide various career experience programs free of charge for three years until December 2027.

The "Educational Donation Career Experience Institution Certification System" is a system established in 2016 by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry to certify public and private institutions that provide high-quality career experience opportunities free of charge.

Certified institutions have their certification details registered on the career experience support site "Kkumgil," and receive support for promoting excellent programs as well as consulting for program development and operation.

In the second half of 2024, 473 institutions applied, and a total of 411 institutions were finally selected. Among them, only two local governments were selected: Songpa-gu and Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do.

In the case of Songpa-gu, it was highly evaluated for providing youth with job exploration opportunities through a systematic curriculum related to future promising occupations.

Since 2023, the district has operated 37 free career experience programs in new industry fields such as generative AI prompt designer and space engineering for 427 students from 19 middle schools at the "Songpa Run Head Center."

According to survey results, students showed a high satisfaction rate of over 90% on average, and 87.5% of students expressed a desire to participate in the programs again.

Additionally, the district continuously provides opportunities for local students to experience future education by operating free programs related to the 4th industrial revolution, such as AI coding and metaverse, at five Songpa Run education centers (Head, Wirye, Jamsil, Pungnap, Macheon).
