The ‘2024 SME Marketing Support Project’ is a customized support program for SMEs consisting of three main components. It integrated online and offline marketing support, home shopping broadcast support, and overseas distribution network expansion support projects to comprehensively assist SMEs in the province.
Specifically, it supported 720 companies through online marketing, recording a transaction amount of about 10.7 billion KRW, and also supported offline marketing in connection with Kim’s Club and Lotte Mart, achieving results of 12.7 billion KRW. In addition, it fully carried out support for export channel development through direct overseas marketing and home shopping broadcast support for overseas market expansion.
Among this year’s achievements, offline linked sales channel support stood out, recording about 6.8 billion KRW through the ‘Gyeonggi Province Week’ event held with 30 major Kim’s Club stores, and about 5.9 billion KRW through discount events linked with all Lotte Mart branches, while effectively promoting excellent products from Gyeonggi Province to consumers.
Furthermore, to strengthen the self-sustainability of SMEs, a distribution consultation meeting was held by inviting 39 current merchandise planners (MDs) from major large-scale distribution platforms, with participation from 101 local companies, receiving positive responses.
In addition, collaboration with Gyeonggi Province affiliated organizations showed remarkable results. Gyeonggi Province Corporation supported the overseas market entry of two companies through export matching support with Gyeonggi Technopark, resulting in about 11.4 billion KRW in performance for those companies. Moreover, export matching and local promotional events in the United States were also promoted in cooperation with the Korea Ceramic Foundation and Gapyeong County Office.
Lee Jae-jun, CEO of Gyeonggi Province Corporation, stated, “Through the marketing support project, we have achieved remarkable results, once again proving that Gyeonggi Province Corporation is essential for SMEs in the province. This year as well, we will deeply consider not only the performance of local SMEs but also how we can help their future development, and present more advanced support projects.”
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province Corporation plans to recruit companies wishing to participate in this year’s project as early as February.
