Tottenham "Contract Valid Until Summer 2026"

English professional football Premier League (EPL) club Tottenham has finally announced that it will extend the contract with 'Captain' Son Heung-min for one year. With this, Son Heung-min and Tottenham will continue their partnership until 2026.


Tottenham announced through its official channels, including its website, on the 7th, "We are exercising the contract extension option for Son Heung-min," adding, "The contract is now valid until the summer of 2026."

Son Heung-min played in the German league before joining Tottenham in August 2015 and entering the EPL. Including this contract period, he will have worn the Tottenham jersey for 11 years. He has left a significant mark by scoring 169 goals in 431 appearances for Tottenham, ranking 4th in the club's all-time scoring list.


During his time at Tottenham, he excelled as a star player, earning honors such as the joint top scorer of the 2021-2022 EPL season (23 goals) and the 2020 FIFA Pusk?s Award.


As the captain of the South Korean national team, Son Heung-min took on the captain's armband for Tottenham starting in August 2023, moving closer to becoming a club 'legend.'


This season, he has been somewhat subdued with 7 goals in official matches, including 5 in the league. Ahead of his contract expiration in June this year, there were transfer rumors due to the lack of an announcement regarding the club's option. However, with the club exercising the contract extension option, he will continue to play for Tottenham at least until next summer.
