At the event, President Lee Geun-yong, key officials, and 20 selected overseas volunteers attended, where appointment certificates were awarded and the launch ceremony oath was read aloud.
This overseas volunteer group will depart from Incheon on the 14th and, over a 3-night, 5-day journey until the 18th, visit orphanages and elementary schools in Siem Reap, Cambodia. They plan to engage in various programs including ▲ mural painting ▲ classroom environment improvement work ▲ Korean language education ▲ cultural exchange ▲ and exploration of Siem Reap's culture.
President Lee Geun-yong of Daegu Cyber University said, “I deeply thank all the volunteers who participated to lend a warm hand where help is needed,” and added, “You are the main actors practicing our university’s founding philosophy of embracing the world through love and service. I hope you take pride in this meaningful journey and join us wholeheartedly.”
Daegu Cyber University’s overseas volunteer program in Cambodia marks its third visit following the 2018 and 2019 academic years, consistently carrying out volunteer activities to help students in underdeveloped areas continue their studies in better educational environments.
