Career Orientation Session for Prospective Freshmen at Cheonan Campus
Prospective freshmen of Sangmyung University are seen exploring the career guidance fair held on the 7th at Hannuri Hall on the Cheonan Campus.
Sangmyung University announced on the 7th that "opportunities for freshmen to choose their majors will be expanded for the 2025 academic year."
According to Sangmyung University, this year the university has expanded integrated admissions, including easing the transfer system and increasing the number of open major programs. Students admitted through the open major program can explore a wide range of career paths through major exploration and liberal arts education.
In relation to this, Sangmyung University held a career information session for prospective freshmen at the Hannuri Hall Convention Center on the Cheonan Campus, offering opportunities to explore various majors.
The session included introductions to majors, career counseling after graduation, explanations of the University Job Plus Center's employment support system, and special lectures on career development.
Kwon Jieun, head of the University Job Plus Center, said, "Our university provides 37,160 career and employment counseling sessions annually through connections with professional consultants," and added, "Especially from this year, with the easing of the transfer system and the expansion of integrated admissions for open majors, students are able to choose from a wider range of majors."
