Yangju-si, Recruiting Participants for the '2025 Group Counseling Program'

Yangju Women's New Work Center, Held from February 11 to 13

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 7th that it is recruiting participants for the ‘2025 Group Counseling Program’ targeting women who wish to find employment at the ‘Yangju Women’s New Work Center.’

The ‘Group Counseling Program’ is a project that supports women seeking employment by providing opportunities to acquire job-seeking skills through professional career counseling and offering employment information to help them regain confidence and succeed in finding a job. The group counseling program, which has become an essential course for job preparation for women seeking employment, will operate from the first session held from February 11 to 13 through the 16th session.

Additionally, the program will be operated by age groups, providing customized support and counseling that consider the causes and situations of career interruptions experienced by women of the same age group.

The training is divided into a basic course (5 days, 20 hours) for job seekers without a career plan and an advanced course (3 days, 12 hours) for those with a career plan. The main contents include ▲ boosting employment confidence through self-understanding such as personality type tests, ▲ employment career planning through job readiness tests and job information, and ▲ successful employment strategies (resume, self-introduction letter, interview clinic).

Participation in the program is recognized as job-seeking activities for unemployment benefit recipients (reemployment activities) and job-seeking activities under the National Employment Support System. Benefits such as job placement, priority selection for vocational training, lunch, and transportation expenses are also provided. Any woman wishing to find employment, except those insured under employment insurance or those who have completed the Saeil Center group counseling program within one year, can apply by visiting counters 32 and 33 on the first floor of the Yangju Employment Welfare Plus Center’s Yangju Women’s New Work Center.

A Yangju City official said, “The completion rate of participants in the group counseling program operated in 2024 reached 99%, and the satisfaction with the training was very high, showing great interest and enthusiasm among women for employment,” adding, “We have prepared an even more substantial program this year to boost the employment confidence of job-seeking women, so we hope for active participation.”
