Originally Scheduled for Late Last Year but Postponed Due to Passenger Plane Accident
To Be Held at 7 PM on the 14th at Taean Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater
The proclamation ceremony for "2025 Taean Visit Year," which had been temporarily postponed due to the passenger plane accident, has been rescheduled for the 14th.
The Taean County Office announced on the 7th that the "2025 Taean Visit Year Proclamation Ceremony" will be held at 7 p.m. on the 14th, and considering the cold weather, the venue has been changed to the Grand Performance Hall at the Taean Culture and Arts Center.
The proclamation ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on December 31 last year at Kkotji Beach in Anmyeon-eup, together with the year-end festival, but was urgently postponed two days prior due to the Jeju Air passenger plane accident at Muan International Airport in Jeonnam.
This proclamation ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a musical ensemble pre-event, followed by the official ceremony and introduction of guests, the appointment of promotional ambassadors for Taean Visit Year, a themed video screening, and the official proclamation performance.
Afterwards, commemorative performances by popera singer An Gapseong and popular singers Seo Young-eun, Monday Kiz, and Na Taejoo will take place. From 4 p.m., various promotional booths (tourism, local specialties, marine healing, horticultural healing, national park) and experience booths (mother-of-pearl keyring making, knitted scarf making) will be set up at the outdoor stage of the Culture and Arts Center, promising visitors an enjoyable time.
An official from the county said, "We will strive to achieve a new milestone this year by attracting 20 million annual visitors to Taean, the 'Garden of Korea.' We ask for the active interest of all county residents in this proclamation ceremony, which will mark the first step toward a new leap forward for Taean."
