Selected as Pilot Institution for 2025 Long-term Care Home Medical Center by Ministry of Health and Welfare
Agreement Signed with 'Deobureo Internal Medicine Clinic' at Gwangjin-gu Office on 6th to Launch Full-scale Operation
Doctors, Nurses, and Social Workers Visit Homes of Long-term Care Recipients
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will implement the ‘Long-term Care Home Medical Center Pilot Project’ this year.
The Long-term Care Home Medical Center Pilot Project, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, provides doctors, nurses, and social workers who visit the homes of long-term care insurance beneficiaries who have difficulty visiting medical institutions due to mobility issues, offering medical treatment, nursing, and care services. This project supports beneficiaries to receive sufficient integrated medical and long-term care services at home without being admitted to care facilities.
Accordingly, on the 6th, the district signed a business agreement with ‘Deobureo Internal Medicine Clinic’ at the Gwangjin-gu Office. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, Yoon Yeo-woon, Director of Deobureo Internal Medicine Clinic, and about 10 related personnel.
According to the agreement, the district will actively promote the project and identify participants by reaching out to local social welfare facilities and community service centers, providing linked care resources and services. Deobureo Internal Medicine Clinic will provide the necessary personnel, facilities, and medical services for smooth project implementation.
Eligible participants are those among long-term care home benefit recipients who are judged by a doctor to require home medical care due to mobility difficulties, with priority given to grades 1 and 2. Selected individuals will receive benefits such as ▲one home visit medical examination per month ▲two home nursing visits per month ▲and integrated community-linked services. For more details, contact the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center at 02-450-1567.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I am very pleased that elderly residents with mobility difficulties can receive medical services at their residence without having to travel far for treatment. I thank Director Yoon Yeo-woon of Deobureo Internal Medicine Clinic and all related staff for participating in this project,” and added, “We will continue to communicate steadily with local medical resources to do our best to make Gwangjin-gu a healthy and happy place for our elderly residents.”
