Singer JK Kim Dong-wook personally announced the cancellation of his Daegu concert.
On the 7th, JK Kim Dong-wook posted on social media (SNS), "I bring unfortunate news from the beginning of the new year," and informed, "The concert scheduled for the 25th at the Daegu Seo-gu Cultural Center has been canceled." Regarding the reason, JK Kim Dong-wook explained, "The organizers cited safety concerns due to external complaints opposing my appearance." He further explained, "The cancellation was due to absurd agitation by a few external individuals who filed complaints with the intention of threats, such as saying they would protest if the concert proceeded, not complaints from the attendees."

In response to the concert cancellation news, JK Kim Dong-wook said, "It was my first concert in Daegu in several years, and I had been rigorously practicing duet songs for a week, so it is disappointing," adding, "People around me say I should sue and other things, but I am leaving this message hoping that such incidents, where the will of the majority is overturned by the opinions of a few agitators, will not happen again."
Earlier, singer JK Kim Dong-wook expressed his support for President Yoon through SNS. On the 5th, he posted "Approval rating surpasses 40%" along with a Taegeukgi emoji. He then wrote, "This is not the will of heaven but the aspiration of people yearning for liberal democracy." On the 3rd, he also posted, "Protecting the president is protecting the country! Meanwhile, many netizens are criticizing JK Kim Dong-wook for his recent remarks and actions. Above all, although JK Kim Dong-wook is active in Korea, he is a Korean-Canadian holding Canadian citizenship. As a foreigner exempted from military service, he cannot even vote in Korea due to his different nationality. His actions defending the domestic president against charges of rebellion have sparked anger with calls for "foreigners to stay out."
