NEIS Utilization Payroll Practice, Assisting Field Adaptation
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) conducted practical, customized training for rookie public officials responsible for payroll tasks at schools.
On the 6th and 7th, payroll training was held for 38 newly appointed officials in the education office computer room, focusing on enhancing their adaptability to fieldwork.
Over the two days, the training covered payroll payment practice using the education administration information system NEIS, the allowance system for public officials and public employees, and payment methods for major allowances.
On the 17th, there will be training on year-end tax settlement tasks, including hands-on practice using the NEIS system for staff year-end tax settlement and education on key tax law matters related to year-end tax settlement.
The Ulsan Office of Education conducts on-site consulting visits annually for new task managers. It also supports payroll staff difficulties by providing non-face-to-face support through the social networking service KakaoTalk channel and holding various training sessions.
An official from the Ulsan Office of Education said, “We expect this training to greatly help enhance the capabilities of rookie public officials, and we plan to continue supporting various programs in the future.”
