The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (Chief: Lee Myungjun) has entered a proactive response posture to prevent coastal accidents in anticipation of a weather advisory.
According to the West Sea Coast Guard Headquarters on the 7th, a high seas warning is expected to be issued from the 8th to the 10th. In response, they held a video conference with relevant departments and affiliated police stations to prepare for and prevent maritime accidents due to worsening weather conditions.

Through the meeting, the West Sea Coast Guard Headquarters focused on inspecting safety management measures to prevent fishing boat accidents, early evacuation of fishing vessels including aquaculture management boats, and will thoroughly monitor and guard Chinese fishing vessels making emergency port calls. In addition, they urged vessels such as pilot boats and small cargo ships passing through hazardous waters to move to safe areas.
A representative from the West Sea Coast Guard Headquarters stated, "We will strengthen land and sea patrols in vulnerable and dangerous coastal areas," and requested, "Please pay close attention to weather forecasts and strictly follow safety rules, such as wearing life jackets, during fishing or fishing activities."
