"Best Efforts for Citizen-Centered and Citizen Benefits"
"I will devote all my efforts to making this year the inaugural year of sustainable Anseong, with the motto 'Gongjaebulsa (功在不舍).'" At the briefing, Mayor Kim emphasized, "We will do our best for the citizen-centered and citizen-benefit vision of Anseong City in the 8th local government term by preparing exit strategies to overcome local extinction and creating future growth engines." To this end, Mayor Kim plans to actively promote projects in the 8th local government term aimed at strengthening urban competitiveness, stabilizing people's livelihoods, and revitalizing the local economy.
First, in the industrial sector, the city will promote ▲ activation of a semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment specialized complex ▲ semiconductor technology development and workforce training ▲ establishment of Anseong Industrial Promotion Agency ▲ attraction of major corporations' electric vehicle battery research facilities ▲ promotion of public-led urban development projects ▲ comprehensive support to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.
In the cultural tourism sector, the key projects for the new year include ▲ activation of the main project following the selection as a Korean cultural city ▲ promotion of the 2025 East Asia Cultural City project ▲ establishment of a cultural tourism foundation ▲ acceleration of lake tourism development and discovery of resident-led linked projects ▲ development of tourism resources and travel products.
In the transportation sector, the city will implement ▲ phased introduction of free transportation for all citizens ▲ activation of demand-responsive Tokbus and Happy Taxi operations ▲ promotion of new routes for metropolitan buses ▲ operation of a mobility support center for transportation-vulnerable groups ▲ establishment of an integrated bus stop management system ▲ installation of smart intersection systems ▲ railway projects including the Metropolitan Inland Line and Pyeongtaek-Bubal Line.
Especially for stabilizing people's livelihoods, the city plans to implement ▲ expansion of incentives for local currency ▲ improvement and revitalization of traditional markets ▲ expansion of support for improving the business environment of small business owners ▲ support for special guarantee contributions and interest subsidies for small business owners ▲ integrated support for Anseong Matchum startups ▲ customized employment support programs and job fairs.
Mayor Kim stated, "The year 2025 will be the inaugural year in which Anseong vigorously advances as a sustainable city by further enhancing its strengths and potential," and emphasized, "I will continue to do my best so that the value of 'a prosperous Anseong living together' remains unwavering."
