The delegation officially began its schedule on the 6th by visiting ConsuNova, a promising aerospace company in San Diego, and signing an MOU. ConsuNova specializes in avionics software, system, and hardware development. The main contents of this agreement include ▲activating aircraft certification projects within the city ▲training skilled personnel and creating jobs ▲providing consultation for building an aerospace industry cluster.

From the 7th to the 10th, the delegation participated in ‘CES 2025,’ the world’s largest IT and electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, supporting local companies in pioneering global sales channels. At this CES, Jun Engineering and Moa Soft, companies based in Jinju, participated in the integrated Korea Pavilion organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), networking with companies from around the world and conducting comprehensive sales activities.

A Jinju city official stated, “This CES exhibition provides local companies with opportunities for promotion and global investment attraction, and it is an important occasion for our city to establish a foothold for cooperation with US aerospace companies. We will do our best to develop Jinju into a leading global aerospace industry city.”

Meanwhile, since the 7th term of the civilian administration, Jinju City has strengthened expertise by establishing a dedicated department for corporate attraction. As a result, it attracted large-scale investments such as the ‘KAI Rotary Wing Flight Center’ in the Gasan Industrial Complex of Ibansang-myeon, and recently achieved the groundbreaking of the ‘Future Aircraft (AAV) Demonstration Center’ linked to the flight center. Additionally, starting this year, the Economic and Trade Bureau was reorganized into the Aerospace Economy Bureau to focus intensively on fostering the aerospace industry, a future growth engine, preparing for a leap toward becoming a competitive aerospace city.
