Over 14,000 Gwangju Elementary Graduates to Receive Middle School Placement Results on the 10th Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education building.

This year, the number of students subject to assignment increased by 502 compared to last year, which is analyzed to be due to the relatively higher birth rate of those born in 2012 compared to other years.

Middle school assignments are conducted through a computerized lottery using the 'NAIS-based online system.' The lottery is carried out in the presence of members of the Middle School Admission Lottery Management Committee, which includes parent representatives, and observers from both the Eastern and Western Education Support Offices.

The assignment results will be announced at 10 a.m. on the 10th through the websites of the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education and the Eastern and Western Education Support Offices. Assignment notifications can be received at the elementary schools where students are currently enrolled after the announcement.

The city education office will conduct a reassignment on the 20th and 21st for students who have transferred from other cities or provinces. Eligible students can visit the Secondary Special Education Department of the relevant Education Support Office with the required documents to receive a reassignment through a lottery.
