On the 7th, Delive, the largest cable TV company in the Seoul metropolitan area, announced that it will present a special short documentary program addressing the issue of regional extinction in response to the era of population decline.
Produced with the planning intention of "Village Life as Content," "Local Impact Village Hotel" is a short documentary program that depicts the process necessary for aging towns to acquire lodging and travel functions through the alternative of a "village hotel," addressing the phenomenon of declining local populations.
The village hotel project revitalizes the local economy by utilizing vacant houses as accommodations, local food, and cultural content, and further proposes solutions to the problem of regional extinction.
First aired last month, "Local Impact Village Hotel" features Anna, a Polish travel YouTuber, exploring the potential of village hotels in three areas: Jeongseon-gun in Gangwon-do, Mokpo-si in Jeollanam-do, and Bongam-ri in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, introducing cases that breathe new life into these regions.
