GS25 & The Fresh Launch 'Mak&ski' to Continue the Mixology Craze

GS Retail's convenience store GS25 and supermarket GS The Fresh are the first in the industry to launch 'Mak&ski (Makgeolli and Whiskey),' a collaboration between Jipyeong Brewery's 'Jipyeong Makgeolli' and Beam Suntory's 'Jim Beam Whiskey.' Mak&ski contains 7.7% Jim Beam whiskey mixed with Jipyeong Makgeolli, which is made by fermenting domestic rice and Jipyeong nuruk three times, capturing the sweet taste of Makgeolli and the oak aroma of whiskey simultaneously. Additionally, it undergoes cold aging to deliver a smooth throat feel and the rich scent unique to bourbon, enhancing its flavor. The alcohol content is 10%, about twice that of regular Makgeolli. Mak&ski will be sold nationwide at GS25 and GS The Fresh starting from the 15th, limited to 60,000 bottles, priced at 8,500 KRW per bottle.


7-Eleven Collaborates with Chefs Jeong Ji-seon and Ahn Yoo-sung to Launch Convenience Meals

7-Eleven partners with 'Chinese Cuisine Queen' Chef Jeong Ji-seon and Korea's 16th Master Chef Ahn Yoo-sung to release a total of six products, including convenience meals and side dishes. First, Chef Jeong Ji-seon presents 'Jeong Ji-seon Dongpa-yuk,' a dish she made during a cooking competition program. It features whole pork belly simmered for a long time to maintain a moist texture, with spices such as star anise that provide a unique aroma. Additionally, three Japanese cuisine items reflecting the know-how of Ahn Yoo-sung's 'Gamae Ilshik' are introduced: ▲Ahn Yoo-sung Myeongran Tamago Gimbap ▲Ahn Yoo-sung Topping Yubu Chobap ▲Ahn Yoo-sung Myeongran Tamago Sandwich. In collaboration with another restaurant run by Master Ahn, 'Jangsu Hoegwan,' 7-Eleven also launches 'Seven Select Ahn Yoo-sung Jangsu Hoegwan Garlic Pork Jerky,' a jerky version of garlic ribs.


KFC Launches Two 'Kenchibap' Chicken and Rice Menu Items

KFC introduces two new 'Kenchibap' (chicken and rice) meal options featuring tenders. The two Kenchibap items highlight the harmony between chicken tenders and butter garlic rice. The new menu items are 'God Seasoned Kenchibap' and 'Teriyaki Kenchibap.' Responding to the growing demand for cost-effective products, KFC priced Kenchibap in the high 4,000 KRW range per single item. These new menu items are also available in combo and set options. The combo includes the single item plus a cola, while the set adds a vegetable salad coleslaw to the Kenchibap and beverage.

HiteJinro Beverage has launched 'Jinro Tonic Water Energy,' which combines the refreshing taste of tonic water with the functionality of an energy drink. This new product adds energy-boosting features to the existing Jinro Tonic Water, which enhances the taste and aroma of alcoholic beverages. Jinro Tonic Water Energy contains 1,000 mg of taurine and four types of vitamin B complex to help relieve fatigue and recharge energy during long drinking sessions. It preserves the popular taste and aroma of energy drinks while being zero-calorie to reduce the burden.
