Incheon City announced on the 7th that it will expand the legal consultation services at the Citizen Counseling Center, which were previously held every Tuesday, to twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting this year.
The Citizen Counseling Center has been operating since 2008 to reduce the economic burden on citizens and provide citizen-centered civil service by offering free consultations in legal and tax fields closely related to citizens' daily lives. Previously, legal consultations were held every Tuesday, and tax consultations were conducted on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
This expansion of the counseling center's operations focuses on strengthening legal consultations in response to high citizen demand. In addition to the lawyer consultations held every Tuesday, notary consultations have been added every Thursday. Notary consultations provide professional assistance in everyday legal matters such as registration and personal rehabilitation.
The Citizen Counseling Center operates by appointment only, and applications can be made by visiting the General Civil Service Office at Incheon City Hall or by phone starting from the Monday of the week before the scheduled consultation date.
An official from Incheon City stated, "With the expanded operation of the Citizen Counseling Center, more than 1,000 citizens annually will be able to receive free legal and tax consultations," and added, "We will continue to improve and operate the center so that more citizens can benefit."
