Donating 100 Million Won Annually for Burn Patients

Actress Shin Min-a has recently drawn attention after it was revealed that she donated 300 million KRW at the end of last year.

According to her agency AM Entertainment on the 7th, Shin Min-a donated 300 million KRW to organizations she supports annually, including the Hanlim Burn Foundation and Seoul Asan Medical Center, at the end of last year.

Since 2009, Shin Min-a has been consistently practicing sharing by donating to people in need for 15 years. In particular, she has been generous in supporting burn patients. Through the Hanlim Burn Foundation, she has donated a total of 1 billion KRW, giving 100 million KRW annually to help 201 burn patients receive treatment and surgery to date. Especially last year, she helped with the treatment and surgery of 18 children and female burn patients.

The agency stated, "Shin Min-a has been actively supporting burn patients for 10 years since 2015 after hearing their stories?patients who receive little social attention and cannot even consider surgery due to enormous medical expenses and are unable to receive proper treatment."

In addition, Shin Min-a has been leading efforts in sharing by supporting projects such as study room teacher support for underprivileged children, heating cost support for elderly living alone, and aid programs for North Korean defector women and children. Her cumulative donations amount to 4 billion KRW.

Meanwhile, Shin Min-a received the 'Good People Artist Award' at the 14th Beautiful Artist Awards ceremony held in October last year. Upon receiving the award, she said on stage, "When I heard that I was the recipient of the Good People Artist Award, I wondered if I was truly deserving of this title and felt the weight of the award." She continued, "Thinking about the purpose and meaning of this award, I will reflect on the significance of what I do while continuing to engage in good activities as a person and as an actress. I will also donate this precious award to those waiting for a helping hand in difficult circumstances. Once again, I sincerely thank you for this valuable award."
