The joint design team, consisting of 10 technical public officials from towns and townships, will operate temporarily for five weeks until February 7, 2025.
The joint design team will conduct field surveys, measurements, drafting of drawings, and preparation of specifications for a total of 120 projects worth 5.6 billion KRW this year. Projects that raise safety concerns or require more specialized review will be outsourced.
Through this joint design, it is expected that the design, ordering, and construction in the construction sector will be completed promptly this year, alleviating residents' inconveniences and helping strengthen work capabilities through knowledge transfer between senior and junior technical public officials.
In particular, last year’s joint design saved 290 million KRW in outsourcing costs, and this year, it is expected to save 310 million KRW in outsourcing expenses.
Cheon Yoo-kyung, Director of the Road Traffic Bureau, who attended the launch ceremony, stated, “With the operation of this joint design team, we expect to place orders for long-awaited projects early, revitalizing the local economy and achieving budget savings.”
