Law firm YK (representative lawyers Kyunghoon Kang and Beomhan Kim) has recruited Shin Daehee, a former judge and representative lawyer (Judicial Research and Training Institute class 33).


Representative lawyer Shin will work at YK's Cheongju branch office. With Shin's recruitment, YK has been able to further strengthen its legal service capabilities in the Chungcheong region.


Shin passed the 43rd Judicial Examination and was appointed as a judge in 2004, gaining experience at Cheongju District Court and Cheongju District Court Chungju Branch. Since 2009, he has transitioned to a lawyer and has been actively practicing in Chungju and Cheongju.


He achieved a constitutional court ruling of constitutional inconsistency in the National Pension Act Article 64 constitutional complaint case, and has distinguished himself by handling various cases in civil, criminal, family, and administrative fields, including the cancellation of pension amount modification orders related to pension division payments for common-law couples, violations of the Anti-Graft Act by senior officials affiliated with the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and damages lawsuits for advertising portrait rights infringement involving a famous celebrity.


He has also demonstrated expertise by serving in various national institutions such as a non-standing member of the Central Administrative Appeals Commission, member of the Central Disciplinary Committee, member of the Central Dispute Mediation Committee, member of the Fair Trade Commission's Sensitive Review Advisory Committee, and member of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. He has also contributed to training future legal professionals as an adjunct professor at Chungbuk National University Law School.


Actively contributing to the local community, he has served in various roles including member of the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education's Teacher Rights Protection Committee, member of the Chungcheongbuk-do Information Disclosure Deliberation Committee, and customs review member at Cheongju Customs.


Representative Shin Daehee stated, “YK is leading multifaceted legal services in a rapidly changing legal environment and is exploring new roles for the future legal profession. As the head of the Cheongju branch office, I will do my best to contribute to the development of both the local community and YK.”


Currently, YK has 364 lawyers, including former judges and prosecutors, ranking 7th in the industry. It operates 32 branch offices nationwide directly.
