Daesang Group Secures Growth Engine by Accelerating Digital Transformation

Innovating Work with Big Data Analytics Platform... Training Data Experts

On the 7th, Daesang Group announced that it is accelerating company-wide digital transformation (DT) to secure global growth momentum.


Daesang Group is promoting digitalization across all stages from product planning to development and operation. The big data analysis platform 'DAYS' collects about 6 million data points daily, including customer responses, sales, weather, and various economic indicators, providing insights into consumer trends. In fact, using this platform has resulted in increased sales and improved work productivity in global kimchi marketing and business-to-business (B2B) sales sectors.

Additionally, the group strengthened collaboration among affiliates by building an ‘Integrated R&D Information Data Hub’ that allows integrated use of research and development (R&D) data from domestic and overseas affiliates. They also introduced the customer experience management (CRM) solution ‘Salesforce’ to enhance the work efficiency of sales personnel who are closest to customers. Through digital-based business process innovation, they are maximizing efficiency while also increasing customer satisfaction.


Various activities are also underway to secure in-house digital capabilities. Representative examples include operating the in-house employee DT communication space ‘Digital Garden’ and providing opportunities to understand global DT trend flows and experience advanced technologies through the ‘Digital Camp.’ Recently, as part of DT education for all employees, ‘Data Scientist Training’ was conducted. Daesang Group plans to nurture at least 30 in-house data scientists by 2026, providing continuous support to help them grow into data analysis experts beyond simply completing the training courses.

Their mid- to long-term goals include establishing a smart manufacturing system through data-driven autonomous factories, creating a data-based sales system utilizing market and customer information, providing hyper-personalized customized products and services, strengthening company-wide digital transformation capabilities, and establishing a data-driven decision-making culture. Through these efforts, they aim to become a global leading company that creates new value and offers differentiated customer experiences.
