Jungnang-gu Achieves Highest (A) Grade for 5 Consecutive Times in 'Natural Disaster Safety Diagnosis Evaluation'

Additional 2% Support for Damage Recovery Costs upon Special Disaster Area Declaration with A Grade Achievement

Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) received the highest grade, A, in the 2024 'Natural Disaster Safety Diagnosis Evaluation.'

The Natural Disaster Safety Diagnosis is an evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety targeting 228 cities, counties, and districts nationwide. It analyzes three areas: ▲disaster risk factors ▲implementation of prevention measures ▲facility inspection and maintenance, and rates them on a scale from A to E.

An A grade is awarded to 34 local governments, representing the top 15% nationwide. Jungnang-gu was recognized for its excellent disaster management and facility maintenance capabilities in all areas, including ▲prevention ▲response ▲recovery, achieving an A grade for the fifth consecutive time.

In particular, in 2024, Jungnang-gu recorded its highest score ever and was the only local government nationwide to receive a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety.

With this A grade acquisition, the district will be eligible to receive an additional 2% of damage recovery costs from the national treasury if declared a special disaster area due to natural disasters in the future.
