From the 6th: Elementary Division, From the 20th: Middle School Division
Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced that it will operate the "Winter Gijang Youth English Camp" starting from the 6th to coincide with the winter vacation.
On the morning of the 6th, the county held an opening ceremony for the camp at Trinity Hall of Busan University of Foreign Studies, with 120 first-round participants attending. The camp is a residential English experience program hosted by Busan University of Foreign Studies, conducted with native English-speaking instructors.
The elementary division runs in two sessions, each lasting 5 nights and 6 days from the 6th to the 18th, with 120 participants per session. The middle school division has 70 participants and will be held from the 20th to the 26th for 6 nights and 7 days.
After a level test, about 12 students are assigned to each class, with one native English teacher and one life instructor in charge of each class to provide customized lessons according to skill level.
This English camp consists of theme-based classes focused on engaging activities for intensive English immersion education, as well as various team projects with peers. Through the process of communicating and collaborating in English, the camp plans to enhance not only English skills but also teamwork.
A Gijang-gun official said, "We hope that through this camp, students will naturally acquire English and improve their skills, as well as gain experiences of living and communicating together that will serve as an opportunity for self-development."
Students and officials participating in the English camp are holding an opening ceremony and taking a commemorative photo.
