After meeting with the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court that day, Kwon told reporters, "If you look at the impeachment motion passed by the National Assembly, the first sentence states that (President Yoon Seok-yeol) committed acts of rebellion, and the word 'rebellion' appears 38 times." He added, "Since this is an important change in circumstances for the impeachment motion, if the charge of rebellion is removed, the impeachment motion does not stand." He emphasized, "Regarding this, the Constitutional Court should dismiss it, and I conveyed the opinion that the indictment document cannot be changed."

The National Assembly's impeachment prosecution team decided on the 3rd to exclude the 'crime of rebellion under the Criminal Act' from the reasons for President Yoon's impeachment trial. In response, the People Power Party argues that since the content of the impeachment motion has changed, the impeachment motion is null and void from the outset and requires re-approval by the National Assembly.

Kwon also said, "I pointed out that the Constitutional Court is conducting the presidential impeachment trial in an extremely biased and unfair manner," and explained, "Normally, impeachment trials apply the Criminal Procedure Act and are held once every two weeks, but holding trials twice a week shows that the Constitutional Court is prejudging and conducting the trial in a biased way, which is the opinion of our party's lawmakers."

He continued, "The impeachment trials against the Central District Prosecutor General, the Board of Audit and Inspection chief, and Cabinet members pending at the Constitutional Court are not progressing properly at all," and said, "First, the impeachment trial caused by the Democratic Party's outrage must be conducted to clarify whether the impeachment motion is a case of state affairs manipulation or not."

Kwon said, "Whether the quorum for the impeachment resolution of the acting president is 151 or 200, even though the booklet published by the Constitutional Court states that the acting president is equivalent to the president, they say they will clarify it through the trial," and claimed, "From our perspective, they immediately announce unfavorable matters to the president or acting president (Prime Minister Han Deok-su), but withhold and delay announcing favorable matters."

Regarding his change of the grounds for impeachment during former President Park Geun-hye's impeachment, Kwon responded, "At that time, the main reason for impeachment was state affairs manipulation," adding, "State affairs manipulation was retained, and bribery charges, being minor and peripheral, were excluded." He continued, "However, the current presidential impeachment motion involves one charge of martial law and one of rebellion, so important parts of the impeachment motion cannot be withdrawn at will. Re-approval by the National Assembly is necessary."
