Dongseo University, Recognized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor as a 'University with Excellent Employment'

Simultaneous Awarding of the Minister of Employment and Labor Prize and the Busan Bukbu Employment Office Chief Prize

Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) received both the Minister of Employment and Labor Award and the Busan Northern Branch Office Chief Award at the ‘Employment and Labor Administration Merit Commendation Ceremony’ held at the Busan Northern Branch Office of the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office on January 2.

In recognition of its contribution to youth employment activation and the development of employment and labor administration through the University Job Plus Center throughout 2024, Dongseo University was honored with two awards: ▲Minister of Employment and Labor Commendation (Youth Employment Activation category) ▲Busan Northern Branch Office Chief Commendation (Youth Employment Policy Promotion category).

Dongseo University planned and operated various programs for local youth, such as the ‘Local Youth Employment READY One Program’ and the ‘DSU Field Connection Festa,’ in cooperation with the Busan Northern Employment＋Center’s ‘Job Demand Day,’ supporting youth employment policy promotion and employment counseling through job fairs and outreach activities.

Additionally, in collaboration with the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office Busan Northern Branch, Dongseo University operated the ‘Youth Hope Supporters,’ composed of 18 enrolled students, who planned key policies from the youth perspective and promoted youth support systems using youth-friendly media.

Jeong Do-woon, Director of the Student Employment Support Office at Dongseo University, said, “This award is the result of joint efforts by the university and the local community to activate youth employment. We will continue to provide diverse support to strengthen youth employment competitiveness and contribute to regional development.”

This award confirms Dongseo University’s leading role in spreading youth employment policies within the region and serves as an opportunity to pledge continuous development and cooperation in the future.
