Gochang-gun Launches 'Winter Vacation College Student Job Program'

110 Million Won Invested... 28 Selected

Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do is implementing the '2025 Winter Vacation University Student Job Program'.

According to the county on the 6th, the University Student Job Program is a project that invests 110 million KRW from the county budget to provide university students with various social experiences twice a year during vacation periods.

Since 2023, the county has set the participation rate for students from vulnerable groups at 30%, allowing a more diverse group of students to take part in the program.

Participating university students will work for about a month at welfare facilities and child and youth centers that require assistance.

For this winter vacation, a total of 39 students applied, and 28 were selected through a fair process consisting of a first round of document screening and a second round of interviews at the respective social welfare facilities. The final participants will work for four weeks until the 31st at 15 locations, including social welfare facilities and child and youth centers.

Hwang Minan, Director of the New Vitality Economic Policy Office of the county, said, "I hope this program will not only allow students to gain diverse social experiences during the vacation period but also provide an opportunity to learn more about Gochang. I wish that participants will have a meaningful time during their work period and that this experience will serve as a stepping stone for their growth and development."
