'Water Pollution Prevention'... Paju-si Supports Livestock Manure Collection and Transportation Costs for Livestock Farms

9000 KRW per ton... Up to 10 million KRW support per farm

Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 6th that it will provide support for livestock manure collection and transportation costs to small-scale livestock farms. The support rate is 9,000 KRW per ton, with a maximum of 10 million KRW provided per livestock farm.

This support for livestock manure collection and transportation costs is implemented to prevent livestock manure generated at livestock farms from flowing into water sources and rivers, causing water pollution. The expected support amount for this year is 74.7 million KRW.

Small-scale livestock farms eligible to apply are those below the scale subject to livestock manure discharge facility reporting, raising cattle (dairy cows), pigs, dogs, etc. The livestock barn area must be less than 900㎡ for cattle (dairy cows) and less than 1,000㎡ for pigs, and the farm must have livestock manure storage facilities and no violations of the Livestock Manure Act in the past year.

Those wishing to apply should submit the application form by the 24th to the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center for Eup/Myeon areas or to the Animal Management Division of the Agricultural Technology Center for Dong areas, depending on the farm location.
