From the 2nd, Suwon City Launches 'Data Portal Service'... Providing Population, Administration, Urban Environment, and More

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has launched the ‘Suwon City Data Portal Service’ to promote data-driven administration.

Launched on the 2nd, the Suwon City Data Portal (data.suwon.go.kr) integrates the functions of the existing ‘Suwon City Big Data Portal’ and ‘Suwon in Statistics’ into one platform with an improved design.

The main services include key data of Suwon City based on menus such as ▲Real-time Suwon Status ▲Population and Life ▲Administration and Economy ▲Urban Environment ▲Data Utilization ▲Statistical Surveys ▲Data Maps.

In particular, the ‘Visualization Status’ board in the Data Utilization menu provides analyses of pet and park characteristics, floating population and card usage, real-time urban indicators, and event and festival statuses. The ‘Data Maps’ section allows users to check living geographic information, statistical geographic information, and Gyeonggi Province commercial district analysis data.

By applying a ‘responsive web’ approach, the portal offers screens and functions optimized for mobile devices, and the design has been improved for convenient use by citizens.

A Suwon City official stated, "We will provide urban indicators, analysis, and visualization data centered on data closely related to citizens’ lives," and added, "We hope citizens actively utilize the data."
