Yangcheon-gu Holds New Year's Meeting on the 7th and Presents 'New Year Vision'

Plans Announced for Creating a Luxury Residential City

Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced on the 6th that it will hold a New Year's greeting event at 3 p.m. on the 7th at the Yangcheon Culture Hall Grand Theater to share the vision and major policies of Yangcheon-gu.

This New Year's greeting event is expected to be a meaningful occasion presenting the future vision of Yangcheon, with about 1,000 attendees including local figures and residents. It will be broadcast live in real-time through the official Yangcheon-gu Office YouTube channel, allowing anyone to participate.

Mayor Lee Gi-jae will introduce the administrative vision and key project plans for 2025 in his New Year's address and spend time communicating with residents.

On this day, Mayor Lee will present the direction of the district administration for this year, including creating a child-friendly environment, establishing a thick and dense welfare safety net, strengthening out-of-school public education and nurturing future talents, revitalizing the local economy and creating a foundation for job creation, supporting youth employment and entrepreneurship capabilities, and developing a premium residential city.

Mayor Lee Gi-jae stated, “Over the past two years and six months, we have made many changes together with the residents for a new future-oriented city. This year as well, we will prioritize the happiness of residents and complete the tasks for Yangcheon’s development without fail to create a city where people want to live and look forward to tomorrow.”
