KISA Certification... Meeting 80 Standards
Blocking Security Threats... Prioritizing Information Protection
Viva Republica (Toss)'s telecommunications subsidiary Toss Mobile announced on the 6th that it has obtained the Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). With this, Toss Mobile has been officially recognized for having a high-level management system for protecting customer personal information and information security.
ISMS is a nationally accredited certification that verifies whether a company's information protection measures and activities meet the standards. It is certified by KISA according to the joint notification standards of the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission. To obtain the certification, companies must meet 80 criteria including establishing and operating a management system and protection measures requirements.
This certification is a proactive achievement ahead of the mandatory ISMS certification for budget phone operators. To receive the certification, Toss Mobile underwent evaluations on establishing a management system foundation, risk management, physical security, incident prevention, and response. As a result, it has laid the foundation for providing safe and reliable telecommunications services.
Going forward, Toss Mobile plans to strengthen systems that can preemptively block security threats and prioritize customer information protection to establish itself as a trusted company. To this end, it will continuously develop its security system by adopting the latest security technologies, conducting regular security inspections, and enhancing employee training.
A Toss Mobile representative said, "With this ISMS certification as an opportunity, we will further strengthen our information protection system," adding, "We will continue to grow as a company that protects customers' safety and trust."
