Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has published the e-book "Gwanak Changes in 2025," which provides useful information for residents' daily lives to welcome the new year of Eulsa.
In "Gwanak Changes in 2025," you can get an overview of new projects and life-oriented systems through 38 policies in four areas: ▲General Administration ▲Health and Welfare ▲Youth Culture ▲Cleanliness and Safety.
First, in the general administration sector, the “Easy-to-Understand Passport Application Civil Service Guidelines” and the operation of the “Real Estate Official Price Display Service on Building Registers” guide administrative procedures that anyone can easily understand, reducing residents’ civil complaint processing time.
Through the “media boards installed outside convenience stores” in the area, residents can receive various information in a more convenient way.
The “Jeonse Fraud Victim Hope Recovery Support Project” will also begin financial support to help victims of jeonse fraud recover economic damages and resolve housing instability.
In the health and welfare sector, support for national veterans is strengthened through the establishment of the “Veterans’ Honor Allowance and Spouse Welfare Allowance” and the “Increase in Consolation Money.”
Efforts are also being made to provide welfare services and cultural and sports infrastructure for local residents by building the “Gwanak Cultural Welfare Town,” which combines a comprehensive social welfare center, sports facilities, and a living culture center.
In the youth culture sector, support for “language and qualification exam fees” has been expanded to cover those aged 19 to 39, easing the economic burden on young people preparing for employment.
The district’s representative youth cultural space, “Sillim-dong Three Room,” will be relocated and expanded to open anew as a comprehensive youth support space.
In the cleanliness and safety sector, the “Safe Guardian Dedicated Control” system will be switched from mainly nighttime monitoring to 24-hour monitoring to alleviate residents’ anxiety about indiscriminate crimes.
A “home food waste disposer purchase subsidy” will be provided to all registered residents to contribute to reducing food waste emissions.
"Gwanak Changes in 2025" also introduces infrastructures and policies newly established specifically by Gwanak-gu.
By establishing and operating the “Gwanak Job Happiness Corporation” and the “Gwanak Small and Medium Venture Promotion Agency,” stable jobs will be provided to vulnerable groups in the job market, and efforts will be made to revitalize the venture startup ecosystem.
In the youth capital Gwanak, an “e-sports tournament,” whose industry scale is growing globally, will be held to further build a young and vibrant city brand image.
Detailed information on each project, including application methods and implementation procedures, can be found in “Gwanak Changes in 2025” posted on the Gwanak-gu Office website.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “’Gwanak Changes in 2025’ is filled with information that directly helps daily life,” adding, “I hope that through this booklet, residents will properly understand the policies implemented in Gwanak-gu and overcome these difficult times with various benefits.”
