Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held a "First Half New Employee Orientation" for 68 newly appointed public officials in accordance with the regular personnel appointments in January this year to help them adapt to public service life.

The orientation held on the 3rd was organized to introduce the administrative system and current status of Changwon Special City to the newly appointed public officials and to provide an opportunity to cultivate basic qualities and teamwork as public servants.


In addition, senior public officials directly introduced various training programs for enhancing job competencies and employee welfare policies of Changwon Special City to support the new public officials in adapting to public service life.


In particular, a professional instructor was invited to emphasize the importance of stress management for public officials and to introduce various psychological stabilization techniques that can be practiced in daily life, providing MZ generation public officials with a chance to learn how to perform their duties in a healthy state.


The rookie public officials expressed satisfaction, saying, "Through this orientation, at the starting point as a public servant, I felt a sense of belonging and mission in becoming a key player in shaping Changwon Special City. The team-building program was a meaningful time to feel the importance of teamwork by solving given problems with colleagues."


Jang Geum-yong, the first deputy mayor, said, "I hope that through this training, you will understand the vision and values of Changwon City and grow into proud public officials of Changwon Special City," adding, "We will continue to support new public officials so that they can quickly adapt to public service and demonstrate their capabilities."


Meanwhile, Changwon Special City has been conducting orientations before department assignments since 2024 to help new appointees adapt to public service life, and so far, it has been held four times for a total of 209 people.
