Lottery Pension 243rd Draw: 1 First Prize Ticket and 4 Second Prize Tickets Won
A citizen who won both first and second prizes simultaneously with a lottery ticket purchased on the way to visit their parents has shared their story.
On the 3rd, Donghaeng Lottery released an interview on their website with the winner of one first prize and four second prizes in the 243rd round of the Pension Lottery 720+. The first prize winner receives 7 million KRW monthly for 20 years, and the second prize winners receive 1 million KRW monthly for 10 years in the form of an annuity. The total lottery winnings the winner will receive over 20 years amount to 2.16 billion KRW. The Pension Lottery is sold in sets of five tickets, and by purchasing all groups with the same number, it is possible to win both first and second prizes simultaneously.
The winner, who buys small amounts of Lotto and Pension Lottery tickets every week, recently purchased a ticket at a lottery store in Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province. The winner explained, “My parents’ house is nearby, so I visit often, and on the way, I saw a famous lottery store and stopped by to buy a ticket.”
Afterward, on the way to buy a new lottery ticket, the winner checked the results and found that the first Pension Lottery ticket checked had won second prize. Mr. A said, “At first, I thought I had only won second prize and felt a bit disappointed, but after checking online, I realized that buying the set meant winning both first and second prizes. Upon checking the rest of the tickets, I found I had won one first prize and four second prizes.”
“I shared the news with my spouse along with photos, and we celebrated together,” he said. “I think luck came to me because I often visit my parents and show filial piety. From now on, I will live harder and happier.” Regarding the prize money, he said, “I was worried about retirement after quitting work. I plan to use it as retirement funds.”
