Health Programs at Achasan Leisure Center on the 15th and 22nd
Foam Roller Stretching and Gua Sha Making Sessions
Applications Open from the 6th via Seoul Public Service Reservation on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will operate health programs at Achasan Leisure Center on January 15 and 22.
The programs are designed to provide easy access to health management in a natural forest setting, supporting the healthy leisure life of residents.
Built in June last year, Achasan Leisure Center is an 86㎡ community space that welcomes people of all ages. It serves as a resting place for residents visiting Achasan and a learning space where various leisure programs and classes are held.
The programs will take place on the 15th and 22nd. On the 15th, there will be a foam roller stretching program where participants learn myofascial release techniques using a foam roller. Participants only need to wear light clothing and bring a towel.
On the 22nd, participants will make Gua Sha tools. Gua Sha is a treatment method that uses tools to rub the skin, improving blood circulation and removing toxins, and it is currently popular among young people. Participants should bring an apron and a mask.
Those who wish to participate can apply through the Seoul Metropolitan Public Service Reservation system. From the 6th, 12 participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for the foam roller stretching, and 15 for the Gua Sha making. For more details, contact the Parks and Greenery Division of Gwangjin-gu Office.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “This program was prepared to promote residents’ health and support leisure activities, so we hope for much interest and participation,” adding, “We will utilize Achasan, a valuable natural resource of the area, to create a happy Gwangjin-gu through various healing programs.”
