CBS Radio's Lament on the "Collapse of Conservatism"
Jo Gap-je, a veteran conservative commentator and former editor-in-chief of Monthly Chosun as well as the CEO of Jogapje.com, said on the 2nd on CBS Radio's 'Park Jae-hong's One-on-One Battle' that President Yoon Seok-yeol "should show himself stepping forward for the country." Jo stated, "Even before the execution of the arrest warrant, President Yoon's last chance was to say 'I take full responsibility' and resign."
Referring to the part in President Yoon's statement mentioning 'watching YouTube,' he directly criticized, "Conspiracy theories and superstition completely ruin a person." When the host asked, "Has his soul been destroyed?" he replied, "Yes." He continued, "How can a president with a clear mind, who receives top-level information, be obsessed with such low-quality, livelihood-driven conspiracy theories?"
Jo said, "Because of Yoon Seok-yeol, it has become difficult for me to say that I am conservative anywhere. Conservatism has been divided and diminished, and Yoon is the greatest destroyer of conservatism." Regarding the People Power Party, he criticized, "The hardcore supporters have already rallied, so the timing has been missed. The People Power Party has become a zombified party." He then sharply demanded, "Change the party name to 'Fraud Election Party.'"
Regarding Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, Jo predicted, "He may be laughing now, but if a prison sentence is handed down in the appeal trial of the Public Official Election Act case, it will significantly affect the election."
